Funeral Arrangements for Rev. Harlan Blockhus
1/12/10 - Word has been received of the death on February 2nd of the Reverend Harlan Blockhus, 84. Pastor Blockhus was a resident of the Northfield Retirement Community. The funeral service will be Friday, February 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Northfield Care Center with visitation one hour before the service.

Typo on Assembly Guide
1/5/10 - All synod congregations received a mailing including "A Guide to the 2010 Synod Assembly." The date is a typo. It should read "May 7-8, 2010." Please make sure your voting members get the correct information. Download a corrected brochure (PDF).

2010 IRS Mileage Guidelines
1/4/10 - As of January 1, 2010, the IRS standard mileage guidelines are 50 cents per mile. This applies for travel expenses such as pulpit supply and on expense vouchers for synod meetings that are eligible for mileage reimbursement.
