Women of the ELCA -
Sample Resolutions
Women of the ELCA >
Sample Resolutions

These sample resolutions were created by the women at the Southeastern Minnesota Synod Fall Workshops 2006. These are intended to inspire women in local units to begin writing resolutions to conduct business at their meetings.

They are samples intended to be:

  • Instructive, to show that a few minutes time, and careful consideration by two or three members in a unit can result in writing a resolution

  • To allay fear about the process of writing a resolution

  • To crystallize nebulous ideas into a form which will produce action
