Various Details
Registration
On-site registration is located in the North Lobby of the Mayo Civic Center and is open on Friday from 8-11 a.m. Those arriving after that time or on Saturday may register in the on-site office located in the Board Room off the North Lobby.
Housing
Make your housing arrangements with the hotel/motel of your choice. Housing information was included with the assembly registration materials previously sent to you or your congregation.
Parking

this vile - download it at www.adobe.com) to locate convenient parking lots and ramps. Downtown parking is free on Saturdays. The Rochester skyway system is also shown on this map.
Meals
Meals provided for paid assembly participants include: continental breakfast each morning, Friday lunch, Friday evening banquet and Saturday lunch. Beverages are available during the entire assembly. Your name badge is your meal ticket, thus it is important to wear it at all times. Additional banquet tickets may be purchased by contacting the synod office before April 23 at 800-426-6376. These tickets can be picked up at on-site registration. Banquet tickets are non-refundable, but may be transferred.
Clothing
The Mayo Civic Center is climate controlled. You may want to dress in layers and wear your walking shoes so you are comfortable as you move from one area of the center to another.

Child Care
For child care services located in Rochester, contact: Just for Kids, 507-281-2151; Children’s World (south) 507-287-0747; or Children’s World (north) 507-282-5676. The Parent and Child Break Area provided in the past on site at the Mayo Civic Center will not be available this year.
Special Needs
Hearing amplifiers are available, but one must be reserved at least one hour prior to when you wish to use it. Reservations can be made in the on-site office in the Board Room off the North Lobby. If you have other special needs contact the synod office at least two weeks prior to assembly, 800-426-6376.
Displays
Be sure to visit the displays located in the North Lobby. Augsburg Fortress Publishers display is located on the second floor in Mayo B. NOTE: The format of the Augsburg Fortress display has changed this year. Most products will be available for order only, and a select number of resources will be available for immediate purchase. Augsburg Fortress purchases at Synod Assembly can be made on an Augsburg Fortress Account or credit card.
Cash will not be accepted for purchases.
Offering
The offering taken at the Friday evening Eucharist is designated for the synod youth mission trip to Tanzania. The group will be traveling to Tanzania for 18 days this October, during which time they will be helping paint and patch walls, teach English, and share their faith with the students of Ihanja Technical Secondary School. Your congregation is encouraged to send along an offering with your assembly voting members. Please be generous as individuals and as congregations.
No Smoking
No smoking is permitted in the Mayo Civic Center.
Prayer Chapel
A prayer chapel is located on the second floor, in Mayo A. Visit the prayer chapel to pray on your own or with a prayer team member. The chapel is open on Friday and Saturday.
Bring Sharing the Faith Photos
Each congregation is asked to bring two or three photos that show your congregation "Sharing the Faith." Label the back of each photo carefully with the church name and address. Bring the photos in an envelope with the church name and address marked on the front and leave the envelope at the registration tables when you arrive. If you want the photos returned, please pick them up at the on-site office Saturday before 1:30 p.m.
Board of Pensions Representatives
Representatives from the Board of Pensions are present at the assembly and are available to answer congregational questions and provide specific information to those who are covered by the plan. Appointments are not necessary.
Environmental Stewardship
Please help recycle by returning all name badges, voting cards, unwanted paper, and completed evaluation forms to the appropriate boxes upon leaving the assembly. Also, please bring your own beverage mug. Throw-away cups are provided for drinks, but their use is discouraged.
