Resolution 2004-02: Morogoro District Support Fund

WHEREAS, the Rev. Herbert Hafermann, a son of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod, has served for 40 years as a missionary in Tanzania as well as many years in the Morogoro Mission District and Morogoro Seminary; and

WHEREAS, upon his official retirement, the Rev. Hafermann is voluntarily continuing his ministry of evangelism in the Morogoro Mission District; and

WHEREAS, the Rev. Hafermann is requesting voluntary financial contributions from individuals and congregations of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod for the continuation of his ministry of evangelism in the Morogoro Mission District;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that congregations of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod may voluntarily include financial support in their mission planning efforts for the Morogoro Mission District Support Fund in support of the Rev. Hafermann's continued ministry of evangelism in the Morogoro Mission District.
