Accompanist for Zumbro Choristers (grades 4-8)
1 hour weekly rehearsal; Choristers sing for worship twice a month

Zumbro Lutheran is in need of an accompanist for the Zumbro Choristers beginning in September 2008. Rehearsals are Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. The Choristers sing for worship approximately two Sundays a month during the school year and alternate between the 8:30 and 11:00 worship hours. They also perform an annual musical in worship the last Sunday of January. This is a paid position.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in church music and worship

• Skilled at piano/keyboard or other instrument

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all musical activities of Our Savior’s

• Coordinate choirs and accompanists for worship

• Plan Sunday Worship with pastors and other volunteers and staff

• Play and lead music for worship

• Long-term planning of liturgy and season

• Recruit and encourage leaders for worship of all ages

• Service and leadership on Worship and Music Committee
