Youth in
Mission - The Youth in Mission programs are sponsored by the
Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.
These programs are designed to encourage young people to explore their gifts
for ministry and to consider a profession serving others through the church.
Serving the World is a three-week seminary experience. Participants
spend two weeks on campus engaged in study, activities, dialogue and
reflection and one week in Mexico City, Mexico for an experience of learning
and sharing faith in a global context. Beyond Belief is an
opportunity for high school youth groups to do service and build
relationships with Chicago residents. The program is now more
self-sufficient and runs year-round.
Youth
Encounter - an evangelical and confessional Christian organization that
offers youth ministry resources to the church. Incorporated in Minnesota by
Lutherans in 1965, the organization serves churches of all denominations,
nationally and internationally.
